We firmly believe you own your SMS subscriber list, and you have a right to access it at any time. Here’s how to export your subscribers from any SMS platform.
Ready to import your list into OneText? Read our guide here.
Downloading a list is harder than it should be—reformatting the list to match the new provider’s specifications can be even worse! Let our team do it for you, for free, even if you’re not moving to OneText (yet).
Attentive is the hardest. We have a trick to get a same-day CSV without contacting Attentive. But we can’t share publicly. DM or email us at success@onetext.com and we’ll get you your contacts.
You can also email your Attentive account rep with this script:
Hi Attentive Rep, I’m interested in emailing my non-sms subscribers and telling them to join our texting program. To prep that email campaign, please send over my CSV today with all my active subscribers including: name, email, phone number, and opt in timestamp. I can then use that CSV to build a segment of all non subscribers in my email program.
Please attach or link my CSV in your next message. I know that you offer API integrations for email programs. But I still need my CSV today.
Thanks!
Go to Audience > Lists & Segments
Create New > Create Segment
Set the segment to “If someone can or cannot receive marketing” > Person “can receive” > “sms marketing”
Select “Create Segment”. Wait for the segment to populate which might take a few minutes.
Then select “Manage Segment” > “Export Segment to CSV”
Check: Email, First Name, Last Name, Phone, SMS Marketing Consent, SMS Marketing Consent Timestamp and another fields you’ll like. The SMS fields are likely on page 2.
Select “Start Export” and wait for the export to complete.
If you’re not redirected to a download page, visit klaviyo dot com /downloads and download your most recent export
Navigate to “Messaging” > “Segments” then search for “All Customers and Subscribers (INTL Included)”
Select “View subscribers” and click “Download.”
After a few minutes, your list will be ready in the “Reports” section (you’ll also receive an email confirmation that your download is ready).
Download your report.
Navigate to “Audience” > “Segments” and search for your SMS subscriber segment (if you don’t see it, you can create a new one).
Open the segment and click “Export.”
After the export is processed, you will receive an email with your export file to the email address in your Sendlane profile.
Most Wunderkind accounts are managed by their team but they do allow brand admins to create a self-service export.
As an admin, visit your dashboard’s campaign page.
Open “Customer Segmentation.”
Then download your largest list, likely titled “Active SMS Subscribers”.
Wait for it to download.
Wunderkind’s exports are pretty barebones but you can join them with your Klaviyo data. Our team can help with this at no cost.
We make it easy! Ask us via Slack or self-service:
On the general performance page, scroll down to the List Growth Graph
Select “Actions” then “Export All Subscribers”
Check your email!
