If you’re switching to OneText from another SMS platform, you may want to bring your existing subscriber list with you. We make it easy to import your list as a CSV file so you can continue messaging customers who have previously opted in.

Important: You must have valid SMS consent for every contact on your list. If you’re unsure whether your list is compliant, we strongly recommend consulting your legal team before proceeding.
Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), you are legally required to have prior express written consent from each subscriber before sending marketing texts. This applies even if you collected the phone number on another platform or are migrating from a different tool.
By uploading a list, you are confirming that:
Every contact on the list has explicitly opted in to receive SMS marketing from your brand
You are responsible for maintaining documentation of that consent, in case of audit or legal inquiry
Instructions for Importing your CSV
Ensure your CSV is formatted with these columns:
First Name
Last Name
Phone Number
Email (optional)
Navigate to Settings > Consent Import to begin the process (or click here).
Select your CSV and verify the columns are mapped properly.
Read the SMS Disclaimer thoroughly. If you accept the terms, select the checkbox.
Click "Confirm Column Names" to begin your upload. A dialog will open confirming when your upload is complete!
