Getting Started with OneText

Welcome to OneText! We're thrilled to have you on board.
This guide outlines what to expect during your onboarding process, from setup to go-live—let's dive in!
✅ Step 1: Prep Work on Your Side
Before we can build out your OneText experience, we’ll need a few key pieces in place:
🔐 Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Make sure your Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are live and easily accessible on your website. These are required for TCPA compliance and allow us to complete registration with telecom providers.
🔗 Platform Integrations
Connect OneText to your stack via our extensive Integration options:
Shopify: for order data and fulfillment triggers
CRM: for syncing lists, subscribers and historical data
Klaviyo
Sendlane
Omnisend
Drip
Payment Processor(s): for secure, pre-authorized transactions
PayPal
Stripe
Maverick
Important: Please don’t share API keys or credentials in plain-text, but instead use a one-time link via Slack or email.
📲 SMS Consent Popup
Ensure your SMS capture popup is live and functional.
It should direct users to a dedicated consent page where they can opt into SMS communications with the required legal language.
🛠 Step 2: OneText Builds Your Automations
Once the above items are complete, we’ll get to work on your behalf.
Within 2–3 business days, our team will:
Build out your core automations, customized to your brand and optimized for text-to-buy (TTB) conversion.
Prepare your dashboard and automation flows for review.
If you are migrating from another SMS platform, our team will help migrate and replicate your flows into the OneText platform, will share best practices to leverage text-to-buy, and will also ensure that your list is 100% synced with OneText. Learn about our Migration process and see how to export your SMS subscribers from any platform.
☎ Phone Number Provisioning
Based on your agreement, our team will provision a new phone number for your account—or port your number from your previous SMS provider.
📞 Step 3: Kickoff Call With Your CSM
You’ll receive a link to schedule a 30-minute kickoff call with your Customer Success Manager (CSM). During this call, we’ll:
Walk you through your OneText dashboard
Preview your automations in action
Share campaign strategy tips and best practices
Show you how to edit and customize your flows

🟢 Step 4: Go Live
Once you give us the green light, we’ll activate your automations and get your brand texting!
From here, you can:
Launch one-to-one text-to-buy campaigns
Monitor performance in real-time
Explore advanced features like list segmentation, analytics, and more
In your OneText dashboard, you’ll always find a chat widget that connects to our success team and our ever-growing knowledgebase.
