While OneText does not offer a direct integration with Triple Whale at this time, we’ve designed our platform to work seamlessly with its attribution tools. By combining Shopify order tagging and UTM parameters, you can track both Text-to-Buy and web-based SMS orders in Triple Whale with confidence.
Text-to-Buy orders are created directly within OneText’s checkout experience, bypassing the need for clicks or web sessions.
How attribution works:
These orders are generated by OneText and tracked independently of your website analytics tools.
We add a Text Order tag to each order in Shopify, which can be used to filter and analyze in Triple Whale.
We’ve confirmed with the Triple Whale team that these tags can be used to display OneText orders in their reporting dashboards.
Order counts will match across your Shopify sales channel report and the OneText dashboard, ensuring consistency.
Note: Because these orders do not rely on link clicks, UTM parameters are not applicable.
For SMS campaigns or automations that include links, OneText automatically appends UTM parameters for accurate multi-touch attribution.
Default UTM values added to your URLs:
utm_source=onetext
utm_medium=SMS
utm_campaign=[campaign or automation name]
These UTM values ensure that web orders from SMS subscribers are properly tracked in tools like Triple Whale, Google Analytics, and others.
You can customize your UTM structure at any time by navigating to Settings > Tracking in the OneText dashboard.
