If you're using Northbeam for marketing attribution, it's important to know how to view and interpret your OneText revenue—especially since traditional attribution models often underreport the value of SMS.

Northbeam takes a conservative approach to SMS attribution across providers. However, OneText is fully compatible, and there’s a reliable method for evaluating its performance alongside your website traffic.

How to Attribute OneText Revenue in Northbeam

We recommend combining two revenue sources in Northbeam to get the most accurate picture of OneText’s impact:

  1. Text-to-Buy Orders tracked via OneText’s custom tag

  2. Multi-touch revenue from website clicks using UTM parameters

These two sources are mutually exclusive, which means they can be safely summed to reflect total attributed OneText revenue.

In many cases, Text-to-Buy revenue will exceed website click revenue. This highlights the value of sending SMS traffic to a channel with clear attribution—and is especially noticeable when migrating to OneText from another platform.
